Radar Measurement Solution
Concept design of a Non-contacting radar level measurement solution for sewer application in collaboration with Emerson Rosemount.
The final concept is a modular solution that enables customisation in order to meet the user needs. As the sewer systems is a complex environment the prerequisites can vary widely between measuring point and therefor the product needs to be versatile. This solution can be used as one unit or be separate into one radar unit and one communication unit, and can be power with cord or battery.
The project was user-centered and involved a rigorous user study as a mean to understand the needs acquired for a product measuring water levels in sewers. A number of interviews & field studies was conducted with the users and analysed to list functions and requirements needed for a product in this context. The users were also involved in an evaluation workshop.
The whole team was very involved and closely collaborating in the user studies, ideation and presentation. Except these phases I was contributing with a DFA, clay modelling, environmental CAD renderings and the preparation of the workshop.
